Hi all my money making bloggers and all the people out there who want to make a buck too. My topic for today is traffic. No, we are not talking about a traffic jam in New York; I want to talk about driving some traffic to your blog or website. You can have the best product or the best prices in the whole world, but without people knowing about it, you will not make too much money. So the key to your money making success is traffic, a lot of traffic. Same say it´s more important to have good traffic, but I am sure the same percentage of people are buying products or clicking ads on our site. So you got two ways to increase your profits. Nr.1 you can try to rise the percentage of people clicking your ads and buying your products or you can just drive more traffic to your sites. By the way, the best thing will be working on both ends from time to time. So if you are looking for more money made by your blog or website, get some traffic. A good way to drive some traffic towards you site are ads. But ads can cost a lot of money. The cheaper way to buy ads on other blogs, are blog communities like Entrecard. Right now I am running a 20,000 Entrecard credits contest and I can tell you, you can buy a lot of ads and traffic with that much credits. Go for it!!!

1Man trying to get traffic is a challenge and it sucks… Untill you get it then it’s GREAT! Too bad it’s wicked hard to find. I agree entrecard.com helps a ton though. I stareted using YouTube and BlogTalkRadio to promote. People seem to like hearing you talk and seeing you on the screen. Also instructional videos for your niche, or reports in your niche help too
Pretty much you have to be omnipresent to get traffic. Nice contest! I might enter

2Good luck with the contest…
I have had only very modest success running contests so far…

3I totally agree with you that contests bring traffic, specially when prize is so high as 20k EC credits. But what brings constant traffic is good content, everything else is strictly temporary. I have monthly contest going on where I give away 1k ec credits and link back from home page (PR3) and it works ok for me, but I try to write posts that could benefit my readers so they come back often.

4I’ve been using Entrecard like crazy lately and it has gotten me some decent traffic, nothing to rave about but I’m still pleased with the results so far.
That being said, I hope that the traffic comes from Entrecard sticks around because they love my content!

5I’m going to have to disagree a bit with this post. The key is “targeted traffic” as simply traffic in general will not necessarily convert to sales or adsense clicks. So really, trying to increase traffic for the sake of it is just wasting time. What people should be doing is getting quality targeted traffic, people that actually want to read about whatever niche you are in.
The best traffic to have is search engine traffic, NOT social networking traffic like stumbleupon, digg, or even entrecard, these visitors simply will not make you money.
Search engine traffic is the best because people are actually looking for your content, they already want what you have to offer, rather than you trying to pitch some random passersby. So, in this case, what people should really be doing is quality links back to their blog to increase their rankings in the search engines.
I see tons of these entrecard sites getting up to 500 uniques a day and they aren’t making a single cent in money. Yet I know some SEO people who only get search engine traffic with the same amount of unique visitors and are making $1,000 per month!
You should really read this blog if you want to understand it more:

6Well, SEO is still the best thing to drive traffic to your blog.

7I believe traffic is the central life of a blog. Without it, a blog is idle or dead.
